An Oil & Gas company located in the NW Houston area is seeking an Engineer / Choke Design Engineer to add to their team.

To qualify for this Direct Hire position, you must have a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering , CAD: AutoCAD & Solidworks, FEA: COSMOS, ANSYS (linear and non-linear analysis), and a min of 3-5 years of design experience with Engineered Choke Valves.

In this position you will be responsible for interpreting and understanding product specifications, data sheets, and customer requirements; researching and securing information on materials necessary; performing design calculations in accordance with API 6A; designing new product components and assemblies using SolidWorks and AutoCAD; preparing detailed sketches of new products and assisting in the drafting in developing and checking drawings; generating Bills of Materials, Engineering Change Notices, and checking the work of other engineers, designers, and drafters; working with manufacturing and assembly personnel to develop efficient methods of assembly on new equipment; generating test procedures and all necessary support documentation for product verification and validation; performing product tests and experiments that require standard as well as nonstandard procedures and complex instrumentation.

Pay - $80-$90K DOE
